Feels like I’m by a fireplace!
This candle burns evenly, and gives the sounds of a toasty fireplace. That’s not to mention this soothing smell it emits. The packaging is nice and sleek and fits safely in my hand when I move it. Overall, I’d definitely buy more of these candles!

I really enjoy the WoodWick Volcanic Orris candle — the scent is rich and layered, with notes of pear, orris, and sandalwood that fill the room without being overpowering. The wood wick adds a cozy crackling sound, though occasionally it makes an odd noise — somewhere between a door creaking and a faint electrical buzz. It’s only noticeable if you’re sitting right next to the candle in complete silence; with any background noise, you wouldn’t hear it. The candle burns evenly, looks elegant, and overall creates a lovely sensory experience.

Very nice subtle scent!
I am a pretty big candle snob. I haven’t tried woodwick candles before and I was super impressed! While the candle container itself wasn’t super unique the scent was subtle but very pleasant. It has a subtle vanilla smell. The wick is made of wood and burned beautifully!

Scentless and noisy!
I received this product in exchange for my honest review. I had such high hopes for this. I can say the candle itself, color and glass jar/lid, are very esthetically pleasing. The size is also a great amount. It's not too big and not too small, would probably last a long time. The things I didn't like were as follows-the wick! It is SO noisy! It makes a cracking sound like your stuff is burning-house on fire. The noise to me was very distracting. I'm not sure what's up with that wick but im not a fan. This candle also had zero fragrance, not at all. As a matter of fact, all I could smell was the wick. So, unless you enjoy a pretty, scentless, and very noisy candle-don't waste your money on this.

Beautiful Candle with a Subtle Scent
I was instantly drawn to the WoodWick Volcanic Orris candle due to its elegant metallic finish and the promise of a luxurious, layered fragrance experience—and for the most part, it delivers. The candle itself is stunning. The glossy hourglass jar and wooden lid provide an elevated touch that looks beautiful on display. The price point for such a beautiful candle is also unbeatable.
The unique wooden wick is a standout feature. It lights easily, burns evenly, and gives off a soft crackle that adds a cozy, relaxing ambiance.
As for the scent, it’s beautifully blended. The top notes of quince and iced ginger feel fresh and slightly fruity, while the orris and pink pepper add a sophisticated floral-spice heart. The base of sandalwood and tonka bean brings a soft, comforting finish. It’s a complex, elegant fragrance that feels both grounded and refined.
My only critique is the throw. While the scent is lovely up close, it doesn’t fill the room as much as I hoped. It’s more of a personal, subtle fragrance rather than something that will scent an entire space.
Overall, Volcanic Orris is a gorgeous candle with a unique wick, a refined fragrance, and beautiful packaging.

Smells great!
This candle is beautiful! The shape, color of glass, gorgeous package. Great value for a quality candle of this size as well. The wax burns smooth and evenly. I did have trouble at first get the wood wick to stay lit but its great now, even has a slight crackling sound to it. It smells wonderful throughout the house, its a warm inviting scent!

WoodWick candles are my new favorite! This scent is incredibly luxurious, cozy and relaxing. The fruit and sandalwood complemented each other nicely and fill my home with a luscious aroma. The wood wick creates a perfect, peaceful, cozy crackling sound. The sound is mild, but so warm and cozy. Not only does it smell and sound amazing, but it looks absolutely beautiful and luxurious as well! I would highly recommend the Volcanic Orris scent.

A sweet twist on a Classic!
Purchased this item in store and thought it smelled just like the Cashmere candle also from the regular Woodwick candle. Later looked it up and I was correct all the notes were the exact same but somehow this candle smelt a bit sweeter. Which was perfect since I love Cashmere but it’s more of a Fall/Winter fragrance, this one will be of great use for Summer.

WoodWick/Yankee Candles have extremely high standards & expectations and I can confidently confirm that this new scent from them continues to live up to that. This scent is incredibly luxurious, cozy and relaxing. The fruit and sandalwood complemented each other nicely and filled my home with a luscious aroma. The wooden wick creates a peaceful crackling sound that is mild and not loud or annoying. I would highly recommend trying this Volcanic Orris scent. I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to receive this to try and I’ll definitely be exploring the other new scents they’ve been creating.
