The wick is a very fun wooden X and the way it lights makes this fun crackle noise while it’s burning. It’s great for a cozy rainy day while reading a book or a day like today when I have a sunny day, windows open and a cool breeze blowing the smell gently though the house. LOVE this candle!

The blue color is vibrant, and I could definitely see someone displaying it in their home. I’m not in love with scent, but that’s just personal preference. It comes off a little bit beach-y to me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from pros and cons some pros and cons to this one! con- as you can see in the photo, there’s some dust or air holes inside the candle that are not the prettiest to look at. the wood wick is also a bit weird to light— i use an e lighter for candles and you have to get right at the center of the wood wick to get the whole thing to burn, which is kind of hard. if you dont just that corner will burn, it wont spread to the rest of the wick (at least in the 5 minutes i waited). pros are that the wood wick does make a really pleasant, light crackling sound that i enjoy. i like the shape of the candle— it’s a bit of an hourglass which is pretty. the smell and the color are nice as well.

It also allows the sent to be smelled almost immediately. If I had to explain it, it would be like a turbo flame. The scent is not for me though. I hate to give it three stars but it really just is an earthier sent and I prefer more Amber or Gormand scents. It will have a powerful throw. My downstairs is 2400 SF and I can smell it throughout the bottom floor.

It’s been a long time since I’ve lit a WoodWick candle. The last time I had received it as a gift and remember having such a pleasant experience with the scent and quality of the candle. With that being said, honestly - I’ve been sleeping on WoodWick for years. I’m more of a Bath & Body Works (sales only) and Target candle gal these days. Upon first lit, I was greeted with a smell that reminded me instantly of those Dial blue soap bars that males typically use. If you know, you know. Digging deeper into the fragrance, you get notes of woods, waterlily, and pearl crystals. It’s a very pleasant, fresh, clean scent. The scent of the candle quickly consumes the room it’s been lit in, and lingers throughout the rest of your surroundings. The fragrance has lasting power. I’ve burned this candle in total for around probably 10 hours total, and I feel like I’ve barely made a dent into the lifespan of this candle. It’s very nice quality and you’re getting what you’re paying for. Would I pay full price for this candle? Retailing at $34.00, I would definitely purchase it if on sale. It’s a very well made candle, with a pleasant experience attached to the price point.

It was packaged so well and tight; it reaffirmed my faith in buying candles online. Woodwick is a brand of Yankee candle so I will hands down only be purchasing from them online. Now onto the candle itself. The glass shape and size are perfection. The scent is so lovely. When you light it, it has a light crackle of the wood wick. As it’s burning, the crackling of the burning wood is so comforting and soothing. The sound it only outdone by the aroma. I wasn’t sure what Tempest would smell like; but the waterlily mixed with citrus, amber, and cedar, smells magnificent. It’s woody, but homey and calming. The scent fills up the room quickly and lasts for hours. Even if you’re not a candle person; you’d love this. It’s not too strong; but definitely cancels out any other odors and leaves your home smelling pleasant all day.

Large in size hourglass shaped modern looking blue blend of soy and wax is very interesting and loving this very much. The wick is very innovative handcrafted in plus shape and it does make a crackling sound thats pleasing , bright light and also quickly spreads the fragrance all over. The scent is a mix of varieties that includes waterlilily, sea salt, cedar and few other ingredients. It is mild and absolutely new experience. It runs for around three days if used non stop but I use I like an hour or so every few days so I assume this runs for several weeks in this fashion. Great candle in long time. Recommend this candle and also keep removing burnt wick as appropriate as needed to keep it better. I have received " WoodWick TEMPEST Large hourglass candle" from Influenster and WoodWick for free in exchange of my honest opinion.
