Scents an office or bedroom sized room very well. Wicks burn nicely, no flare-ups or tunneling, long lasting. Love the look of the candles nice crisp color and text. I love the Chesapeake Bay candle collection, The Be Thoughtful peony and rose candle is amazing as well as this one.

It smelled great when I first opened the package, but even though my home is small, the scent while the candle was burning did not fill the room at all. And it was sitting on a table less than a foot away from me. Literally the most subtle aroma of any candle I’ve ever purchased.

The throw fills the room nicely. Some may prefer this more as a Spring or Summer scent, but during this very cold harsh Winter, it is very welcome!

It's very faint though. & I'm a little confused as to why the bigger candle & the littler candle I bought from here had a REALLY nice wooden lid, but this 1 just had a cardboard cover. Otherwise very pleased, especially for price I paid.

I thought well maybe I will smell the light smell after burning it nope I was wrong. Just another candle that I wasted my money on and I'd love to know how these candles get high reviews unless they are paid reviews. Because I will then understand how all the candles I purchased in my last three orders with Yankee doesn't have a scent or has a scent that is barely there. And who wants to just burn wax in their house because I sure do not? I think we all purchase candles to have them smell really nice in our homes and in certain rooms. Also, some buy them for their business and work and again we want them to have some kind od scent seether sitting there or burning them!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pleasant scent, but too expensive I received this candle as a gift. It has a sweet, light pleasant scent of rose and peony, my two favorite candle smells. I wouldn’t buy this collection of candles for myself for the following reasons. The candle is very small, only 4” tall and it doesn’t come with a lid, which allows the essential fragrance oils to evaporate more quickly. Due to the glass jar being painted, instead of clear, you really can’t see the flame through it, just a dim glow. The current price, $15, is much too expensive for a candle that lasts, at best, about 35 hours, I can buy a Yankee original large jar candle, which are always on sale for $17 and that will last a very long 110-150 hours. Yankee even has a true-to-life rose smelling candle called “Fresh Roses” that is available in a variety of sizes and more economical prices. The one positive aspect of this candle are the two wicks, which allow the soy blend wax to burn evenly and not tunnel. Bottom line: okay scent, but too expensive for the size and appearance.

It's a bit too strong for my liking. The glass holder is beautiful and I love the "Be Thoughtful" message but the scent isn't for me.
