In honor of World Rainforest Day (June 22), we're proud to continue our contribution to One Tree Planted with a pledge of 20,000 trees for the Amazon rainforest in Peru. The aim of the project is to restore degraded ecosystems by enriching cocoa and coffee plots with native fruit trees.
This One Tree Planted project is especially important to WoodWick because it will help capture a total of 1,158,560 tons of C02 equivalent while creating local wages in the work of seedling production, installation, maintenance, and non-timber forest use. Local communities and their families will also benefit from increased nutrition grown from these native trees.
